My old domain expired, but after months, it is now available outside of wordpress

  My old domain expired and I didn’t get a notice in my email and forgot about it. I just went to networksolutions website and it says the domain is available, but when I go to the ‘store’ in wordpress admin, it says the domain is taken. How can I get that domain back through wordpress? Do I have to purchase it outside of wordpress then map it in? What can I do to get it back?

  The blog I need help with is NOT jmgvines.com. It is “occupyyourlocalmedia.com” for occupyyourlocalmedia.wordpress.com. Also, how can I /edit or delete this initial post and correct this? Now every time someone googles jmgvines, they will find this post about the other site. So frustrating.
