my old domain is used as a scam page

    Hello,
    I am reaching for help / to report the website that is using my old domain and WordPress for the new web that is a scam with my name all over it. It has Uniqlo brand’s logo and my name (=name on my website) and the content is mostly photos clearly stolen from Uniqlo. The description they use is clearly a red flag.
    I have discovered this 2 days ago and contacted the domain service, they just replied that the website host is WordPress and advised to contact you. I obviously don’t wish my name to be connected with this.
    Could you please kindly advise or help with this? Even for an amator like me the website looks very suspisious.

    There is nothing that staff at WordPress.com can do as the domain isn’t hosted here. It looks like your site used to be hosted at Squarespace previously rather than here. If you let a domain expire you are essentially saying you no longer want it. Eventually it becomes available for anyone to buy and use it for whatever purpose they want be it good or bad. Creating a domain that is all or part of your name and letting it go is a dangerous thing to do.
