  for some reason I included www in my blog URL. I went to change it but I still keep seeing wwwteamgoldbas.wordpress.com on the site – help!

  Your domain https://teamgoldbas.wordpress.com/ works fine. Note that WordPress.com delete the 3 www from the URL always.
