My own visits are screwing up my stats–can you help?
-
Even when I am logged in, my own visits to my blog appear in my stats. I’m certain it’s my own visit that’s being logged, because it shows up a few seconds after I click “visit site” or do anything else to view my blog, and the referrer is WordPress Dashboard.
In the past, when I clicked “visit site” or “view post,” the new page that came up still had the My Account / My Dashboard / New Post / Blog Info tabs at the upper left, and the URL was still my logged-in one: http://revamy.wordpress.com etc. Now, what comes up is http://sermonsinstones.com, without those tabs up top–i.e., it’s as if I am any, unlogged-in visitor to the blog.
I cleared my cache & cookies (I use Firefox). No change.
Please help. I can’t look at my own posts, except in “edit post,” without falsely inflating my stats. The situation is driving me crazy and although Support responded right away, all they did was ask a clarifying question, which I answered–then I never heard back. I can’t be the only person who has this problem!
Amy
P.S. Sorry if this is a repeat. I posted it a few days ago but can’t find it on a forum search.
