My Page brings me here.

Odd…I’m trying to add one of my pages within it a link to MY forums. When I click on the page button it brings me here. I thought maybe it was something it did because of the name “forum” which would be a pretty cheesy bug within itself, but I changed the title to “Message board” and it does the same thing. The only thing in the page right now is a picture.

i’m at your blog but i don’t see the page you mentioned. and if you place a link to your own forum in a page, it shouldn’t bring your to the wp.com forum, unless you place the link of wp.com forum in your page. but i think i’m misunderstanding what you’re saying…

It’s not my main blog. It’s in one that I don’t have opened yet. The other page I have on here works fine. It doesn’t even make it into the page to get to the link. When you click the button in the menu bar to go into the page it comes here.

this sounds like a bug to me, though i’m not sure. you could send in a feedback and wait for it to be fixed. or you could do what teenfg said and wait and hope it’ll go away, which sometimes it does.

If the blog is private, it shouldn’t open if you clicked on the link, should it? When you say the blog isn’t “Opened” yet, what do you mean? Is it private, or nonexistant yet, or what exactly?

I just made it public and tried it as well. No go, brought me back here. Maybe the theme only allows so many pages, I don’t know. I only have 3 pages and I don’t know why it would bring me here…unless it thought I needed help…lol.

There are an unlimited number of pages. That shouldn’t be the issue.
I’m a bit scrambled today, so bear with me. I’m just going to repeat what I think you’re saying, and you can tell me if I”m off base or not.
You have a private blog, and on that blog you want to put a link to your forums. But when you click on the link, it takes you here. Right?
I understand that the blog is private, but is it possible to see the link you’re using on the page? Just the URL of the link. Because I’m thinking something got swapped in there somehow. If I were you I’d delete the page and start over, using the same name. Sometimes it works, even if it doesn’t make sense.

Thanks. It was still doing it this morning (That’s how I ended up here again today…lol). I deleted it and made another page and it worked this time.
It wasn’t even the “link” to my forums that were bringing me here it was the “link” to my page.
Anyway, it’s done now. Thanks for the help!

There’s been some issues with Page links causing issues. The big one has been them not being removed when deleted. Best bet would be to send in a feedback with specifics as to what is occuring. (ie I clicked on this specific link and I would up on this specific URL)
As Mark says, please be as detailed as possible so he can forward on the report.
