  I can’t get to my page but to every other internet site, what’s up???

  If http://ehssafetynews.com/ is being domain mapped to from a free hosted WordPress.com blog then what is the underlying .wordpress..com blog URL please?

  I bought the upgrade from WordPress and it was working earlier today, now nothing.

  Domain mapping is not instantaneous. It can take from 24 – 72 hours for a domain name chnage to propagate throughout the internet. We have no control over how long it will take for your ISP to flush their DNS cache. Patience is required.

  So even though Ive had the upgrade for over a year and renewed it, this is going to happen??

  Did you allow the domain to expire? if you did not renew it previous to expiration then yes the whole process must be started again. If you enable auto-renew then the domain name is renewed prior to expiration and there is no interruption.

  Yes, I did, but it was working fine up until this morning. I renewed it over 2 weeks ago.

  The domain ehssafetynews.com expired on November 28, 2012 and is currently in redemption. This means that the domain is deactivated, but has not yet been fully released. During this time, you can still renew this domain, but the process is more complicated than a regular renewal.

  If you’d like to renew your ownership of this domain, you have several options:

  1) We can renew the domain for you through our registrar. This costs $98, which includes $18 for the domain and an additional cost of $80 for a late renewal. We have no control over this additional cost, as it is levied on us by our domain registrar.

  Since you already paid $13 to renew just the domain-mapping portion, your cost will be $85, which is $98-13.

  2) Try to register the domain through a domain back-ordering service, such as Pool (Registering starts at $60 with Pool) http://pool.com/

  3) Wait until the domain is out of redemption and becomes available for registration again. Then, you can register it again for the regular price of $18. This would run the risk of the domain being registered by someone else before you, or the domain not being released for registration at all. The exact redemption period and the release of the domain are at the discretion of our domain registrar and we can’t control it.

  If you want to have the best chance of getting your domain back, your best bet would be the first option. If you choose this option, please reply here letting us know. We will then send you a direct request for payment and will contact our registrar on your behalf, asking to restore the domain.

  Please note that time is of the essence here. Because your domain is very close to being cancelled, it may no longer be possible to recover it. If you pay for renewal and we are unable to recover the domain, you will be fully refunded.

  If you don’t wish to proceed with attempting to redeem your domain, I will refund the $13 you paid for your domain-mapping renewal.

  If I decide to get my money back and it reverts back to ehssafetynews.wordpress.com, will all of my postings be remapped to the ehssafetynews.wordpress.com domain or will they be permanently inaccessible because of the ehssafetynews.com mapping?

  If you cancel the domain mapping then your site will go back to ehssafetynews.wordpress.com – no content will be lost – your visitors will need to use that URL to find you not the old mapped custom domain name and search engines will take a while to re-index your site back to ehssafetynews.wordpress.com

  Reversion that means every link to the domain wherever it appears in search engines and on the internet will be broken. It will takes about 3 – 4 months for Google, Bing and other search engines to re-index the content under the .wordpress.com URLs to which the content reverts. Throughout that time anyone clicking the domain URLs will experience a 404 (page not found). http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/01/30/omg-my-domain-name-expired/
