    I thought I had set up automatic renewal. I need to renew my product and have my page restored. I also need to find out if my other page, Darkcargo, is still intact. Thank you for your help.

    Good morning –

    Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve had a look at the account and I can see that paulasjordanblog.com expired some time ago. It’s actually in the redemption process now.

    We can still attempt to recover the domain for you. To do that, our domain partner will charge an $80 fee. Before we can proceed we must get confirmation that you’ll agree to pay that fee. It’s in addition to the $18 annual domain registration.

    What happens is we will send them an email about paulasjordanblog.com and at the same time send you a payment form via email. Typically they only take 2-3 days to write back with a status update. That gets passed along to you here. Once we receive your payment we will restore the domain to the account.

    Hello Lizkarkoski. Thank you so much for your quick response, and please forgive my tardiness in getting back to you. I have been dealing with some minor but annoying–and unexpected–medical issues. All is well now, but I have lost some time.
    I went online today and was delighted to see that my page has been restored. My thanks to you and all who have helped to make that happen.
    I checked on GoDaddy, and noticed that my domain name is taken. Is GoDaddy the domain partner you referred to (below) and the domain name still available to me? Or is there another Paula S Jordan with a WordPress blog? I would like to retain my original domain name if possible.
    Is the entire $80.00 fee required for reclaiming the domain name? Or are additional services beyond the domain name being included under the $80.00 fee? I noted on GoDaddy that most domains are much less.
    As for other matters, whom should I contact to get my account in order? I must pay my annual fee, update my payment method, and arrange for automatic annual payments.

    Since the last reply, the domain is now pending release to the public market and can not longer be recovered by us: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/#domain-released

    We are not notified if or when a domain will be released to be registered again, so we can’t provide any advance warning.

    I recommend attempting to re-register the domain either once a day or once a week.

    The site that the domain was attached to is still available at https://paulasjordan.wordpress.com/

    Are you having trouble administering that site? You have ownership of that address, but you’ll need to try to re-purchase paulasjordanblog.com if you want to own that again.

    Are the WordPress pages that were formally accessed at paulasjordanblog.com backed up and available for me to re-post at another domain that I own, or am I limited to using them only on paulasjordanblog.com?

    Yes, these pages are my personal website. My main concern is to re-establish it as much like the original as possible.

    Secondarily, I am interested in the status of a second site, Dark Cargo, which I shared at one time with another writer. When she withdrew, Dark Cargo was listed as a second, inactive site under my name.

    Ok, https://paulasjordan.wordpress.com/ is still in tact and under your account, as is https://darkcargo.wordpress.com/

    You can continue to edit and work with both.

    The only thing missing is that custom domain, which has now re-entered the public market, so you can re-register it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/
