    Hi again, Sue!

Could you please tell me where you want your posts to display, and I can assist? I don’t recall where you had them placed before.

    Thanks much!

Hi – I’m confusing myself. Right now, when I click on a section, on some of them I get the page that I wrote, and some I’m getting the posts. I thought I had it so you could read the info on the page, and then behind them was the posts. Maybe I’m wrong. Right now my posts seem to be all going to the “underconstruction” section. I got things “confused” when I tried to add a new page, so I could post things to it. From there it was all down hill. I’ve done something – not quite sure what, but clicked something wrong and now it is looking like it did. Hope this makes sense. thanks, sue

Shouldn’t I be able to see the “page” and what I wrote, and then see the “posts” under the pages? Does that make sense? Right now nothing is doing that. Posts are there, but not showing up. I think I did something to the Menu – there was a word, but I can’t remember, that I changed to page.

I’m dangerous when I try to add things……………….

    Hey Sue,

Post don’t appear on static pages. That must be what you changed in your menu to make the posts disappear.

I see that you have Category pages — Bear, Greyt News, and Tips for Owning a Greyhound. If you add these to your menu as Categories, your posts will appear on them.

The issue is confusing because you have named Pages the same thing: Bear, Greyt News, and Tips for Owning a Greyhound. If you display these on your menu as Pages, only the static content you added to your pages will show. Not your posts.

I may have sent this to you before, but this is how Category Pages work:
    http://catswithmustaches.org/category-pages/

If you want BOTH the posts/categories AND your pages to display, the will all need to be added separately to your menu. Because you’ve duplicated names, you should rename either your Pages or your Categories so they don’t confuse your readers.

Let me know if this makes sense, and if you need help ironing out your menu, or if you think you can do it. Thanks!

Thank you. i knew I had done something wrong, but got myself so confused. I’ll refollow your directions and see how it goes. It all makes sense. I’ll start keeping these emails so that I don’t keep bothering you.

If I still have issues, I’ll let you know.

    Thanks a bunch.

“By George, I think I’ve got it”. Finally! Thanks so much for your help and your patience. I admit to not being the most patient person with computers. I used to be good at helping people solve their problems when I worked for a software company in Florida for about 7 years. I knew the software so it was easy. I’m learning this one, and I’m learning to be more patient and looking for what has gotten set wrong. Thanks again. Have a greyt weekend.

I think you’ve gotten more comfortable and knowledgable every time I see you. You’re doing great and we love having you as part of the WordPress.com family :)

In your words, have a greyt day!
