My Paid Domain

    Hello!
I bought a domain yesterday (hopeszyent.org) and started editing it yesterday. Unfortunately, when I tried to resume my editing today, I got a message saying ‘Your IP has been flagged for potential security violations.’
I am able to get into my free blog administration (hopefrances.wordpress.com), but I cannot see my paid domain site. Somehow, I managed to disable ‘JetPack,’ and tried to log in with the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff), the email address used to create the site. But when I try to log in with this email, or my domain name, an error pops up saying that the account doesn’t exist.
But it does exist because I created it yesterday and paid for it.
Basically, I need help regaining access to my site.

Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Hope Szymanski

  • Given the gravity of the situation, here is what I am doing. I have added a tag “modlook” in this topic. One of the members from the WordPress.com staff/WordPress.com Happiness Engineers should be able to help you through this.

  • Hi there,
Your domain was registered at Bluehost, not WordPress.com. https://www.whois.com/whois/hopeszyent.org

The login for WordPress.com will be different than the one for your site. They do not share users, but you might have been prompted by Bluehost to set up an account here and connect Jetpack to your site. The IP flag error does come from Jetpack, and there are some troubleshooting steps and ways to contact support here: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/

You will want to look for the email Bluehost generated when you set up your site. If you cannot find that, learn how to reset your password here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

You have a self-hosted site, and WordPress.com doesn’t offer support for that via this contact form. This page is strictly for WordPress.com hosted sites.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
