I don’t know how to help with this other than to point out that I have very strong unique passwords for all of my blogs here and I don’t experience the issue you report.

You’re welcome and while waiting you may want to read these security tips. http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/

Make sure you aren’t using any sort of password manager that could be autofilling the password for you. If you are, it’s possible that it has just saved the old password.

@iontech: there’s no functionality that will have your WordPress.com password expire.
If you’re having trouble remembering your passwords, a tool like 1Password can be useful:

I am sane enough to remember the password. I am just facing this issue after every couple of days, pretty frustrating.
And no, i am not using any password managers.

Are you perchance using a password that in any way appears to be the same as or very similar to the email address or the blog URL?

anyone else have access to your computer that could be having a bit of “fun” at your expense?

There is nothing on our end that would force a password change on you.
I see that you are resetting your own password every month or so. My only guess at this point is that you’re just saving or remembering the wrong password, as we do automatically log you out every 2 weeks.
Another possibility is that someone with access to your account, email address, or computer while you’re still logged in is changing your password.
Either way, there is absolutely no way for our system to force a password change on you.

Yes, my old password doesn’t get accepted when I try to log in and that forces me to use the “forgot password” option and make the change. And that is what I do not understand, why when I don’t use my account for a couple of weeks and get back later does my password doesn’t get accepted.

Whatever is happening, it’s not on our end, because that would be impossible.
I’d suggest that maybe you’re just remembering or saving the wrong password. If not, I’d have to agree with auxclass’s assessment that someone with access to your computer while you’re logged in, your account in general, or your email address is having a bit of “fun” at your expense.
