My photo won’t add to the page

  I’ve been trying to add a photo to my page…and it won’t let me. The photo was sent to me as a PDF..so maybe that’s why. Anyways, I was wondering if somebody could walk me through on how to add it. I didn’t have any problems adding the other photos.

  PDF’s are not viewable in a blog here since wordpress.COM does not have an interpreter. You can insert it as a link and then when people click on it, if they have the Adobe Reader plugin, it will download and show in their browser window.

  The other possibility, if you have the full version of Acrobat, is to save it as a PNG, JPG or GIF.

  I’m right-clicking on the photo…and the save-as feature isn’t showing up :(

  If you are doing it from adobe reader, it will not. Adobe Reader can’t save as different formats, only the full version of Adobe Acrobat, and then you have to do it from export on the file menu.

  Dang it!!!

  Here’s the site that the photo is on. Is there any way to copy and paste the cover of the magazine and save it as a photo that I can use?

  If you don’t have a screen shot program that allows you to select an area to capture, you can go here, http://allhatnocattle.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/magazine.jpg , and I took a screen cap on my Mac of it and uploaded it to my blog. It’s going to be a touch fuzzier than the original since it ends up as a second generation JPG. There is a touch of white around the edges.

  If the white around the sides will be a problem, let me know and I can crop it tighter for you.

  Thanks so much!!! That’s perfect!!! How come when I edit the page….and add a photo, it won’t show up? I put a title where the little red star is….and then what do I do?

  I save changes and everything…and then it takes me to some gallery page where I’m supposed to put photos in order or something. I don’t remember doing this when I placed my other photos.

  Anyways, the photo won’t show up :(

  I clicked on the photo and did a save as. Well, the only way I can save it is as a bmp. WordPress says they don’t allow this type of file :(

  You need to click on the “insert into post” button a little further up that first window that opens when you go to insert it. Since it is uploaded already, just click on the little pointy circle looking symbol in the add media buttons, click on the show link at the right of the line with the image you want to insert and then click on the “insert into post” button.
