My photos are being cut off due to the size of the blog layout!

    Hi, i have a blog on wordpress. When i add photos the edge is usually cut off because of the layout of my blog (see blog link to understand what i’m on about) Usually i’ll make the image smaller to fit on but often the details are lost. And some images have text on so when cut off you can’t read all the text. Someone help! Is there a way i can expand the sides of the layout?

    You can’t expand the main area in a free wp.com blog. There are some flexible-width themes, however (go to Design>Themes and use the filter).

    BUT:

    1. There’s loss of quality when you let the uploader do the scaling,* not if you downsize copies of your images in an image editing application and then upload those copies in real size.

    2. If you want full detail, you should make your images link to the real-size originals. You can set that either on an individual basis or once for all future uploads in Settings>Media.
