My photos not appearing on Topics pages

  Hello, two of my latest posts have appeared on the Topics pages (under Food), but have not appeared with a photo on the Topic page. Both posts have had several photos. Why is this occurring?

  The two posts are:

  Also, if a post has many photos, how is one chosen to appear on the Topics page? I’ve seen some of my posts appear with the first photo in the post, while others use a subsequent one.

  Please see this page of our FAQ for a list of potential reasons why your post is not displaying in the public tag results. One or more of these items is likely the cause of the issue you’re encountering.

  The WordPress.com search engine indexes post, pages, and comments content (body text). Unless entered as text in those contents, blog name, post titles, and post/comment author names are not indexed.

  Hello thanks for responding. I don’t think this answers my question. My posts are appearing in the public tag pages, but while other people’s posts are appearing with one of their content photos, mine are appearing without a content photo (only my gravatar appears with the beginning of the text from the post). This has specifically happened two times on the formatted Food tag results page.

  In this case, please try setting featured images for your posts: http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

  Hi macmanx, thanks for the suggestion. I had done that on a post in the past but it changed the formatting on my Home page to show the post as a small blurb with a small photo and a jump. Is there any other way to set Featured Image and still have my posts appear as full posts on the Home page? Thanks!

  No, unfortunately that’s how the featured images are displayed in your theme.
