My pictures are not being uploaded into blog.

I am having trouble uploading pictures into my blog. It appears they are uploading in the media area, but then there is a question mark (?) in the middle of the space where the picture should be. Help. I got a new camera lens Tamron 16mm – 300mm for my Canon, is the only difference I can think of. Help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Your camera lens won’t have any effect on whether or not images can upload.
Please clear your browser cache and cookies and see if that makes any difference. If not, please answer the questions that follow. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
What format images are you trying to upload? E.g. it’s not possible to upload RAW images.
How are you uploading the images? One at a time via the “Select file” button or the multi-uploader where you drag and drop the image? And via the Add Media button in the post/page editor, or directly into your library via Media ->Add new in the dashboard? If the editor, the new editor or the old? Please also try the alternative method in each case, and let us know if any makes a difference.

Hi thanks for the info, but none of the things you suggest has helped. I usually hit the ‘add media’ button and then I select the file and it ‘upload’ and it used to work perfectly. I’m at a loss as to what to do. Do you have anymore suggestions?

I am using jpg format, I cleared the cookies and I tried to add media a different way. HELP!

Make sure you are running a browser and version of it found here http://browsehappy.com or upgrade please.
Then make sure you have no exhausted your free media storage space allocation here > Dashboard > Media Library
https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/Know that uploading images directly from your camera without optimizing them for the web and pre-sizing them to fit the spaces in the blog you embed them into means a huge loss of space allocation and reduction of image quality. See here https://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2012/03/26/cropper-or-proper-image-preparation/
See the accepted file types here please:

HI again,
I figured out some of the problem, but don’t know how to fix it. Like I said I bought a new lens, which is not a Canon lens, don’t know if that makes a difference or not, you say “no”, just trouble-shooting…I also put in a new SD card PNY Elite 64GB – don’t know if that makes a difference or not either? I made sure the camera was set to sRGB, also.
All the images I tried to download WERE JPG, I found out when I changed from jpeg to gif, they would upload to WordPress, but took up a lot more space. Does this shed any light on the matter?
Can you help me get the JPG to be read by WordPress?
Thanks for your help!!! -

Your lens and memory card really shouldn’t have any effect on this. Your camera settings might, but sRGB is the correct setting for images on WordPress. But it could be that something got corrupted when your camera was encoding the images as jpegs. And I don’t think it’s a WordPress issue as I was able to upload and insert Jpegs just fine only yesterday.
Are you uploading directly from your camera or via your computer? As timethief said above, it’s better to first resize images on your computer before uploading them.
Are you able to open the images on your computer? Try editing it in a program like Picasa, or even Gimp/Photoshop, and re-export them as jpegs. Then try to upload the new image.
Let us know if that doesn’t work either.

thanks for all the help.
I re-formated the SD card, I use Photoshop to make the pics the right file size and do not directly download from the camera.Yes I can open the images on the computer.
I do use Photoshop and save them as jpegs. I’ve even tried making copies – to no avail.
I also tried what timetheif suggested on the web.
I was able just now to get the images posted by using a gif format – so I’m stumped!

Thank you for trying all our suggestions. I’m afraid I have no other ideas why your site won’t let you upload jpegs, so I’m going to tag this for staff to follow up.
Thank you for being so patient thus far. I ask that you just be patient a little longer while we wait for staff to respond.

When you try to upload, what interface are you using? The newer editor? The dashboard editor? The dashboard media library?

Thank you for all the suggestions, I appreciate it. and thanks for passing my concern on…

rootjosh is Staff. Please answer his questions posed above right here in this thread

I believe it is the Dashboard Media Library – I’m new at all this, so I’m not sure what the interface name is???
From my opening page I go to the far left and click on the W My Sites drop box and then click on ‘blog posts – add new’. Then at the blog I write and click on ‘insert media’, ‘select files’, ‘choose’.
I have done it this way for well over 50 times, maybe more… So I don’t know what’s changed.

Thanks for your reply. Please be patient while waiting for Staff to log in and post here again.

Two things:
1. Do you see the images you have uploaded here: https://gypsyroadgallery.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php
2. Can you upload successfully if you go here: https://gypsyroadgallery.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media-new.php
