My plan was stopped before expiry date

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello. I had a yearly premium plan until 13 February. It was automatically renewed last week. I was still considering which option to take, including moving to business plan.
When I contacted the WP engineer, they said I could cancel the automatic renewal. I followed this advice and was automatically moved to a free plan. I was expecting that the cancellation would be effective after my plan expiry and not immediately. Wrong assumption.
Now all my url have changed to a strange url with my site name and many numbers. Very unuser friendly. If I upgrade to the business plan, will the original url be restored? Thanks

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi @vanessaachilles,

Plans auto-renew one month prior to their expiration to avoid service interruptions. Since you had cancelled your active plan, your site was downgraded back to the free plan instead. Our apologies for the confusion here.

I’ve restored your plan with its original expiry date, and have set lartdapprendre.org as your primary domain. You can review your active upgrades by going to My Account → Purchases → Active Upgrades here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

Everything should be back in place, though feel free to reach out again if you have any further questions. Since you have a Premium plan, you can also reach out to via live chat. Here’s how: https://wordpress.com/support/live-chat/#how-to-access-live-chat-support

If you’re interested in the Business plan, please note that our refund policy for annual plans is 14-days, as outlined here: https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/#refund-policy

If you find that the Business plan isn’t for you, just reach out and a Happiness Engineer can help change your plan back to Premium.

I hope that helps and please reach out again if you have any further questions.
