My portfolio images not showing on the Home Page
-
I am using Hatch theme, I already have a bunch of posts in my portfolio, but they are not showing on my home page
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Go to My Sites -> WP Admin. Then go to Settings -> Reading in the left sidebar. Set Front page displays to “Your latest posts “.
Let me know if that works.

@mayankpurii,
In addition to the suggestion made by staff-frank, if you’d like to display your posts on the front page, you may also change the front page setting at Customize > Static Front Page > Front page displays to “Your latest posts.”
However, the blog page and the 2017 post archives page of the site https://mayankpurii.wordpress.com/ each contain one published post, not a “bunch.”
The facts that 1.) your blog page isn’t set to display on the front page, and 2.) no page content appears on the front page, suggest that either your front page is set to display a static page without content, or that there is no page set as the static front page.

staff-frank,
No worries. I still use WP Admin all the time. Hope you don’t mind my butting in to this topic! : ) -

Thanks a lot you guys staff-frank. @musicdoc1 I am confused about my “Portfolio” posts that were showing on the front page until I switched my Theme to “Hatch”. Of course, I have one “Blog” post, but my question was about “Portfolio” section which is visible while customizing.
So I have been uploading on my “Portfolio” section, and it used to show on Homepage, But now even after adding images to my “Portfolio” it is showing nowhere on Main Pages. !! Do you guys know anything about that?

@mayankpurii,
Here’s your portfolio: https://mayankpurii.wordpress.com/portfolio/.
The Hatch theme is designed to display posts in a grid format on the blog page, which will be the front page if the front page is set to display the blog page. Hatch isn’t specifically designed to display portfolio projects on the front page, but it can do so if you set a static page as the front page (as you had done previously), and insert portfolio shortcode into it. See the Portfolio Shortcode support page.There are themes with an optional Portfolio Template that may be assigned to a page, but Hatch isn’t one of them. Themes with the Portfolio Page template option, where the content of the portfolio consists of rows of image and title links to projects include the following:
-
You may display a link to your portfolio page in a custom menu. See the Custom Menus support page.

Thanks a ton for your time and consideration :D . Really helpful, Great i can use portfolio section back again. Appreciate it @musicdoc1

Correction:
ChangeThemes with the Portfolio Page template option, where the content of the portfolio consists of rows of image and title links to projects…
to
Themes with the Portfolio Page template option, where the page assigned to this template will display rows of image and title links to projects…
-
Yaa there are those options with Portfolio themes. I liked the “Hatch” theme although it isn’t a Portfolio theme, so used Shortcodes. But that just embeds the portfolio with not much control with the appearance. So switching back to a Portfolio theme was a better option. Anyways have a great day :D

Hey, I’m using Blask so my portfolio posts should show up on my home page right? I have portfolio projects enabled in settings but nothing will show up on my home page still..
Does anyone know how to fix this?
-
@mayankpurii,
So switching back to a Portfolio theme was a better option.
It sounds like you might have already found the list of “Portfolio Themes” provided in the Portfolios support page. I noticed when going through those that all of them except the Argent theme have the Portfolio Page Template option. Argent, instead, displays the portfolio on the Front Page Template.
Best to you :D

Hey, I’m using Blask so my portfolio posts should show up on my home page right?
That will be the case if the home page is a static page with either
1. the Portfolio Page Template assigned to it,
2. Portfolio Shortcode inserted into it (with either template), or
3. both 1. and 2. above.I have portfolio projects enabled in settings but nothing will show up on my home page still..
The site https://ollyfrostie.wordpress.com/ presently has two projects on the static front page, and the same two projects displayed on the Portfolio page. Have you resolved the issue?
