my post doesn't show blank lines between paragraphs
-
I have noticed this a few times in my posts now, but today it happened again. I included the lyrics to a song in my post and put blank lines between the verses. Yet, when the post was published, it mashed all the lines together with no blank lines. The paragraphs written after the song lyrics are also bunched together – without any blank lines – even though the blank lines appear if I go to edit the post. At first I had put the lyrics in a ‘block quote’ box, so I wondered if that was why, but even after removing that formatting, the issue still remains. I even attempted to add two blank lines between paragraphs, but it still mashes everything together. Thanks for any insights on how to fix this.

Hi
I took a look at https://psalm7326journey.wordpress.com/2016/12/21/peace/ and can see the issue you are having.
It looks like when you are pasting in the song lyrics, that it’s pulling in some additional formatting with it (perhaps from the source where you copied it from).
You can fix/keep this from happening with the “Paste as Text” and “Clear Formatting” buttons (see #6 and #7 on this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/)
For the existing posts, highlight the text and click the “Clear Formatting” button. Then, click over to the text editor (you can find out how at https://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/) and make sure there’s no extra code around your song lyrics. If you see any code such as
<div>, you can delete that.Any time you make a new post, you’ll want to use the button #6 “Paste as Text” and that will eliminate that extra code from appearing.
Sometimes after pasting as text you will need to re-add the line returns, but once you do, it should work just fine.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
