My post got changed. How?

    I wrote a post about the sign on a local church. When I go there, it has changed to something about champagne. It’s like somebody just came in and overwrote my post with theirs.

    How does this happen? How do I make it not happen? Is there a way to get my real post back?

    Hi there,

    So you’re saying you did not write the content appearing at https://totallyunauthorized.com/2018/07/22/the-way-it-should-be/? Looking at the revision history of that post, the current content is the only content that’s ever been on that post, though it looks like the post had a custom excerpt set that referred to the church notice board. That excerpt was removed a week ago, and according to the logs your account did that.

    I don’t see any unauthorized access on your account. Did you perhaps use a shared or public computer to write that post? If you did not properly log out it’s possible someone else used the same computer and wrote that content thinking they’re writing on their own blog. That’s really the only way something like this can happen.

    If you haven’t yet, I would recommend you change your password to ensue only you have access to this account.
