My post images are too big

  • Unknown's avatar

This is infuriating – I have tried every block, customization theme setting, and even looked into code.

My problem: the post images spread all the way across the page and a large amount down so readers can’t see any text when they first land on the page. Pictures are also pixelated because the theme is somehow over riing everythign thumbnail and media customization I could make. So even when i am uploading small images that have been resized it stretched them.

I’ve identified it’s specifically line item “img.attachment-post-thumbnail.size-post-thumbnaii.wp-post-im 1263 * 1263” but I have no way of accessing the CSS file in my theme that I can see… I have the premium plan and am using the Russell theme.

    PLEASE HELP.

and the blog I need help with isn’t my main one listed automatically above it’s – https://ketotoinnerpeace.wordpress.com/

  • In this case, you’ll edit your theme’s Archive template: https://wordpress.com/support/templates/

Once there, click on the featured image area, and then the gear icon on the top-right. There you’ll see a space to set the maximum width and height.
