My post is gone after publishing it

Hi I wrote a blog post and published it. However, I cannot see anything after publishing it. My whole article is gone. Would you tell me why or help me get it back??

Is it on your Dashboard under Drafts, or maybe in the Trash file?
Did you type it directly into the Write box, or paste it from something else like Word?
This is an unfortunately increasing problem, especially with long posts, so until we figure out exactly why it is happening, we recommend you use an offline blog editor like Blogdesk or Windows Live Writer, as they keep a copy of your post on your computer, no matter what happens to the online blog.

I typed it directly into the Writebox…that’s why I don’t even have a copy…
Yeah it is a pretty long post..
Thanks for answering the question!! -
“Would you tell me why”?
Because there’s a glitch with drafts, and so far WP has said or done nothing about it.
“or help me get it back”?
Edit the post and check the Revisions module for previous saved versions. If you’re not seeing the Revisions module while on the post editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to activate it.
In the future, avoid using drafts: either use an offline blog editor, as raincoaster suggested, or write your text in a text file then copypaste it into the HTML editor, or write a couple of lines in the post editor, set the post visibility to private, publish the post, continue editing and updating, turn to public when finished. -
Thank you so much justpi!!! I found most of my post back!! Yeah I think I will do as you said in the future. But I’m still angry at WP for this frustrating error!
