My post is not visible on my homepage.

So it says my post published a few days ago, and I can go to a page that shows it, but it doesn’t show on my homepage despite being set to ‘sticky.’ I also tried accessing it through another browser in case Firefox was just relying on the saved version, but the same thing there. I waited because I thought it might update in time, but the problem remains. I think I may have had this issue before with my second post since this is my third, but I can’t remember what the problem was then.

Update: I got it to work but I’m very confused. I got it to be ‘sticky’ by UNMARKING “Stick to the top of the blog.” Huh??? Is the ‘blog’ something different than my home page? Could my theme somehow be reversing things?

It looks like your Home Page has the Blog Posts block on the front below the Header.

This will just display the three most recent posts. I don’t see a Blog page listed for your site. You can of course add one if you want by creating a new Page titled Blog, adding the Blog Posts block to it, and then placing a link on your Home Page.

Thanks, but I’m trying to wrap my head around your reply, Parkdanil. I guess I never considered where the posts would be accessed past the first 3, though it looks like someone could just keep hitting “Previous post” at the bottom if they were determined enough.

I’m not sure I’m understanding, though, if you are answering my question (Was I missing the essential ‘Blog’ page so my post just appeared nowhere?), or are you simply making a suggestion about what might work better for my site construction, which is still useful? I appreciate your help either way.

The “Blog” page is where all of your old posts can be found. Your site doesn’t currently have one and as a result, only the 3 most recent posts are visible to anyone browsing your site.

The Theme you are currently using either did not include a Blog page or it was deleted at some point. You can see the available pages in the Navigation block located in the Header of your Home page.

Now, you don’t have to have a Blog page if you don’t want one. It is an optional feature. But, just glancing at the site, it looks like those 3 posts are the entirety of your content.

Some alternatives to displaying your content, without using a Blog page, would be to include a Category list, Tag Cloud, or additional menu items in the Navigation bar.

Thanks for the help as you point out a weakness of my site that I hadn’t realized yet, though my question remains of what is going on that my articles only appear on my homepage when I remove “Stick to the top of the blog.”

I’ve encountered that once in the past, it’s just a bug. You can try clearing your browser cache and see if that clears things up.

Thanks, that does actually answer my question then since I figured I was most likely doing something wrong.
