My post vanished all of a sudden.

  Greetings,

  last night around 1:00-2:00 AM i posted an article, but today i can’t find it anywhere. There’s not even a notification that it might had been deleted in the e-mail or anything. The name of the article was OSTrich Mondays #3. How can a post vanish all of a sudden? I still have the notification in the e-mail that i posted it and the two views it got while it was on are still in the post views stats, what happened?

  Is it on your Dashboard Posts page? Is it in Revisions? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/blog-post-published-blank?replies=11

  Nope, it’s neither on dashboard posts (it shows up to the previous post) nor revisions, i wrote it right away and posted it because it wasn’t that big, around 200-300 words.

  I’ll flag this for staff. Meanwhile, check the Trash file too. And in future, use the Classic editor. Always. ALWAYS.

  Thanks a lot! I have no Trash, just All-Published-Drafts (it’s not there either). I never thought the direct link to new posts would cause a ruckus, i guess it’s going to be through the Dashboard Post section from now on for me.

  Hi there,

  You don’t see a Trash link because you don’t have any posts in the Trash. :)

  I checked your blog, and I found the post titled “OSTrich Mondays #3.” It’s saved as an older revision of this post:

  https://dramajjang.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=15423&action=edit

  In the Publish box in the post editor there, you’ll see the revisions listed as “Revisions: 3.” You can click the “Browse” link next to those revisions to look through the older revisions of that post to find the one you mentioned.

  That can happen if you start a new post in the post editor right after publishing a post, without starting a new post. Please be sure to always start new posts in a fresh, blank editor box. :) Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
