My post was reverted by wordpress.com! How to restore?
-
I’ve been editing http://trixter.oldskool.org/2015/04/07/8088-mph-we-break-all-your-emulators/ throughout the last week, adding links to the text. I always added a link, then hit Update, then viewed it in a new window to ensure the edit stuck. Today, I went to edit the post and found it reverted to the day I first saved it!
What happened? Was there a failure at wordpress.com? How can I get the most recent version of that post restored?

Never mind — I was able to find the Revisions area in the old editor (this needs to be added to the new editor!) and was able to go back one revision which is good enough for my needs.

Hi Trixter!
I’m so glad to see that you were able to restore your post using revisions.
I checked, and we didn’t have any similar reports of edits being lost across WordPress.com at the time you reported this and I wasn’t able to see what would have caused this to happen after looking through the revisions on the post you gave. Although I’m going to close this issue for now, please do let us know if this comes up again. I’ll also be keeping an eye out for similar reports.
