My posts are appearing as images and partial images.

  I’ve found that my posts are not displaying as I expected. On the blog home page they appear as images (one of them is only a partial image).
  When you click on an image, then the complete posting appears that includes that image, but you have to return to the home page to access other posts.
  I would like to simply have my posts appear as part of an infinite scroll where you see the beginning of each post (maybe the first 10 lines or so) and can then click to see more if desired.
  I am clearly missing or misunderstanding something(s).
  Can you advise?
