My posts are missing from the tag pages

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, as stated at the title, I can’t find my posts in the tag pages.
They used to appear there, but now they don’t.

For example, I used to see my posts and only my posts (because I’m the first one to write about that subject – that couple, actually) in wordpress.com/tag/junshua,
but now the reader tells me that “No posts have recently been tagged with junshua for your language.”

    Actually, a month ago I realised that I have 2 posts with more than 13 tags and categories and I removed some of those immediately but I’ve been waiting and waiting, but my posts haven’t come back to the tag pages ;_;

My blog’s language and my account’s interface language are both Vietnamese.

I’m looking forward to everyone’s support.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!
My Vietnamese is non-existent so i cannot really look for myself and comprehend what i see. I believe you when you say the languages in your settings agree, so that rules out one possible factor.

Has there been many additions to the tagged topics since you posted?
I ask this because of “No posts have recently been tagged with junshua for your language.”

Reading through the documentation i find no direct reference to what the “lifespan” of a tagged post might be. I suspect the Reader wants to show the most recent additions to a topic. Changing the tags and/or categories of a post do not change the creation or initial post date/times.

I will tag this thread in order to get the attention of someone from WordPress who will have a better insight than i do.

    best,
    dave

    Oops, hit reply before tagging..

    Thanks, Dave.
I gave out that tag as an example thinking that seeing a not so crowded tag page would make it easier for others to figure out the problem.
And my posts for that tag are pretty new, posted like 1-2 months ago.
I have other tags which I often post to, like ‘seventeen’ or ‘meanie’, and the latest posts for those tags are within a week, but they don’t show up either.

    Hi there!
I do not know what “recent” means in this context so i believe we have to see what the gurus have to say. When you look at the other tagged posts in the reader, are there many posts more recent than yours?

For the junshua tag, since my posts don’t show up and others don’t write about that, there’s no post for the tag page, that’s why the reader says “No posts have recently been tagged with junshua for your language.”

For the seventeen tag, my lastest post for that tag is from 3 days ago, named [Transfic][Meanie] Thật không may, Mingyu – 7 (Final)
and there’s 1 post from other blog that is newer than mine, named [Series drabble-Meanie] not see, not hear, and never not say
My post supposed to appear right after it in this page https://wordpress.com/tag/seventeen? But it doesn’t.

    Hi there,

I checked your site and it had a restriction placed on it due to a scan by our automated systems. I’ve lifted that restriction now, so your posts should appear in Reader searches.

“No posts have recently been tagged with junshua for your language.”

When you search now, are you still seeing this message?

  • Unknown's avatar

Thank you so much for your help.

All of my posts for the junshua tag now appear in the tag page and I don’t see that message anymore.

But all of the posts that were written after February 9th haven’t appeared in the tag pages yet :(

I think that’s the time when I edited some posts and add some tags, which leads to the amount of tags and categories surpassed 15 making your systems consider my post irrelevant or spam.

  • Unknown's avatar

Of course I removed some of the excessive tags a month ago, when I found out that my posts are missing from the tag pages
as I’ve read some other topic about posts not showing up and there was someone else used too many tags like me, and people say that posts will show up again if they have the approved amount of tags.

Now thanks to your help, I can find all of my posts that are from before February 9th, but those from after that date still haven’t showned up yet.

    Hi there,

    You’re welcome!

I can find all of my posts that are from before February 9th, but those from after that date still haven’t showned up yet.

Yes, that’s expected. It might take a few hours for your posts to be re-indexed by our system now I have made the change. Once that that has happened they should appear in the Reader :)

Today I wrote a new post and it appears the reader yayyy!
Maybe I’ll have to wait for a lil bit longer for my post from Feb 9th to March 17 to be appear.

Thank you so much for your help.
    Have a nice day ♥

  • Unknown's avatar

Hooray! Glad to hear your posts are appearing again :) I’ll double check that there are no issues affecting your earlier posts.

    Hi again,

Can you send me a link to a couple of the posts tagged with ‘junshua’ that don’t appear in the Reader?

    Thanks!
