My posts are not being sent to followers, nor am I receiving copies!

This is the 4th time I’ve had this problem, and i’m assuming there must be a bug at WordPress. The last time I contacted WP tech, the woman said my setting was not set to receive copies instantly of my post. But I have never changed the settings. Anyhow, she said she did. It worked once, but now I’m not receiving posts and friends have told me they have not received today’s post. This is very upsetting and i would like some explanation of why this is happening. If it’s a know flaw or issue, i would appreciate being informed of it so I can make other arrangements to notify people.

I checked on this, and your settings have been set back to “no post and comment emails.” I see Grace changed that for you about a month ago, so we need to figure out how this setting is getting changed.
There is an unsubscribe option at the bottom of each email–could you be accidentally clicking that when you read the email?
If you have other users who aren’t getting the messages, could you send me their email addresses? Only you and I will be able to see the addresses, and that will help me figure out what’s happening.

No, I’m not clicking anything. And I’m the only one who has access to the blog and I never touched the settings. Here’s an email of one follower:

Should i delete my last post and republish it? Obviously I’ll know when it’s working if i receive a copy. Can you change my setting so it works again?

We are looking into this. We can reset your notification settings but I’d like to figure out what is happening first.
Do you ever forward the email notification about your post to other people?

Yes, thanks Liz, that’s one of the reasons I want copies sent to me so i can forward the formatted posts.
The one thing that appears to be working is I get email notifications of the changes I make to a post, but I don’t need that. Again, I’m the only person working this blog.

That solves the mystery. The message you have been forwarding is formatted just for you. That means if anyone clicks the unsubscribe link in the email, they don’t unsubscribe themselves, they unsubscribe you.
The better solution is to have everyone who receives the forwarded email subscribe themselves directly from your site.
I’ve also resubscribed you so you will start getting emails again.

That doesn’t give the people you are emailing a way to stop getting your messages, which can backfire. It would be much better to email your list and ask them to subscribe directly to your site.
