My posts are not showing up in the Reader

To be precise, most of them are not. It started about a week ago.
Is there a direct way to file a ticket with WP engineers?

If you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal of the excess categories and/or tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.
If none of the reasons listed at the link I provided “fit” your blog then type modlook into the sidebar of thei thread for Staff help. After doing that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Yes but posting here will provide a response more quickly than emailing support@wordpress.com.

Note that you ought to only one or the other ie. email Staff or post a forum thread like this one.

Is the timing of this suggestive? It was working fine until last week, and I haven’t really changed anything, including in the content. I usually don’t add a lot of tags, and usually only use 4-6 categories.

The only thing I can see that might be an issue is that I reposted a couple of times when the blog post didn’t appear in the Reader. But I only did that as a way to see if it corrected the problem. I don’t make a habit of it.
This happened first on a post that had the word “angel” in the title, and had a semi-religious theme. I’d hate to think that was in any way a reason.

Oh, an the first time this happened, on the same “Angel” post, the post was longer than my norm. Nearly 2,000 words. But I’ve posted longer in the past. Is there a length/character limit?

I’ve set my site ‘clock’ to -5 UTC, as I’m in the eastern time zone in the us as of yesterday.
I got the email acknowledging the post, and it has appeared on the site. But it’s not showing up in the Reader (I’ve followed myself so I can see that the posts appear. This problem is why.) I’ve asked a couple of bloggers directly if they’ve seen posts in the Reader, and they have not. The only ones who see the posts are those who’ve subscribed via email.

I’m having the exact same problem. It has been happening for almost a week now, and there has been a massive drop in visitors to my blog – I just can’t figure out why.
I have also noticed that I do not appear under the ‘blogs I follow’ section on other bloggers sites, even though they are still following me, and I used to appear in that section.
The only thing I can think of is that my blog has been flagged for some reason, but I can’t think why – it’s just a blog about arts and crafts with no mature content and no sales schpiel/reviews or anything like that.
Hopefully this will be resolved soon :/

I hope so. It does have an impact on traffic, for sure.
One other blogger has reported the same problem as you, where blogs that are following her aren’t showing up, but I’ve heard from enough people with diverse content that it sounds like a bug in the system. I’m going to let it ride over the holiday (even Happiness Engineers deserve time off! I’m hoping this thread will be addressed soon.

It’s not that there is a long delay. It is that my posts have stopped appearing in the Reader altogether. This started sometime early last week, and continues. Others have reported the same symptom to me.
