My posts don't show up in the Reader
-
Consistently (over the past year and a half), my new posts are missing from the WordPress Reader and the topics pages. Any tips? I use fewer than 15 combined tags and categories, and I use tags and categories that match my content. Occasionally I’m able to edit my post and that triggers a post to appear, but not always. Each post in my interview series takes weeks, and sometimes months, to prepare, and it’s frustrating when I can’t get more visibility for the person I’m featuring. What else should I try to fix this problem?

If you are using AdBlock please try disabling it and all other browser add-ons and extensions.
If you are not using the http:// secure log in please try it.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
If you are using IE9 in compatibility mode disable that as it reduces the functions of the browser to IE7 and IE7 is no longer supported. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
trying another browserIf those do not work for you then we need to know
(1) how you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.(2) exactly which browser and version of it are you using. Wow, timethief! Thanks so much for your thoughts. I went through and tried the whole list, then went into edit mode in my current post, hit update and went back to the Reader. It still didn’t show up–nor did it show up on a PC browser.
I’m using a cable modem (Comcast), and a Mac laptop (not a touch device). My browser is Safari 5.1.7, the latest version.
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I wish I hadn’t waited so many months to ask this question.

Hi again,
I have flgged this thread for Staff attention as I have no other ideas to offer you. -

I don’t think I have used more than that but maybe I did too many before the limit was increased to 15. Should I go through my old posts and check, and if so, how far back should I go?
-
There’s no need to go back an check, but if you ever did, it may take a few days for the Reader to start including your posts again.
However, I found and corrected a different problem on our end, so it should show up in a day or so with no action necessary on your end.
-
Oh excellent! Thank you so much. Can you tell how long the problem has been going on? I should have asked earlier, but I kept thinking I was doing something wrong.

When I checked your feed in our system, “My Words Don’t Seem Right” was the most recent post, so the issue occurred some time after June 25 and before June 28.
