my posts not showing up on wordpress.com tags?
-
for some reason, when I publish a new post, it doesn’t seem to show up on the wordpress tags so it doesn’t get listed as a new post under a certain tag. Am i doing something wrong?
my site is http://pillowchats.com so it is my own domain name. Is that why? I thought having your own domain name doesn’t take you off the wordpress feeder?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t have my own domain but I experienced the same issue about
a year ago. Are you scheduling posts? Because that seemed to
be the cause of my problem. -
I did save them as drafts…that’s strange. I guess I should stop doing that then. Thanks.

@pillowcahts
Please check this support entry out noting that all posts are listed in order of their original sate/time stamp in the global tag pages. And, as so many posts are published in short order they are pushed down the first page and onto other pages very quickly.

OOPS! Sorry .. I just saw that they were draft posts. They don’t get included on the global tag pages until after they are published.

Yes, but there HAS been an issue reported, and I can confirm it myself, that the post shows up in the Global Tag Page according to when it was first Saved as Draft. Autosaves do not seem to count, but regular manual saves do. Autosaves don’t generate a proper URL either but manual saves do. This change showed up a few weeks back.

Interesting. So if I saved it on Monday and publish it on Wednesday, then it will be listed on Monday? But if it’s just saved, even though it’s listed on Monday, will the link to the URL work?
-
Yes, I believe it’ll appear in the global tags as if it had been published Monday, so wwaaaaaayyyy down in the tag pages. But the URL will actually re-generate if you publish on a different day; I’ve been caught by that a couple of times, where the URL in my Getsociallive was different from teh published URL. So it’ll look perfectly normal on the site.

I had some problems… not too long ago, where the “Publish immediately” option was freezing on the first draft, and not updating to the actual published date. I had to go back a few times to adjust the published date and time. So something I ‘published’ on Tuesday had the previous Sunday’s date… same thing?

The display order in Tag pages reflects the “Published on” date.
If you schedule a post for publishing, it will appear in the Tag page when it’s published – just as if you manually published it at that time. If you backdate a post, it will be moved down the list on the Tag archive, possibly to another page.
If you publish a post that was saved as a draft, the Published On date should reflect the time you published the post on, not the time you saved the draft on, so it should appear on the Tag page normally once you actually publish it. Draft posts don’t appear on the Tag page.
This does not always apply to Tagazines, such as the Chrisitanity tag page. These archives have a human editor, and they can decide to leave posts up for longer.
