Hi there, we can retrieve the domain for you, but it has already gone into redemption with our registrar, so to retrieve it, they charge an additional fee of $80 on top of the registration fee making the total $98. That additional fee is not something we are in control of.

You can read more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period

Can you verify that you are willing to pay the $98 to recover the domain?

Also, if you could, verify the email address at https://wordpress.com/me/account is correct.

I’m looking into our email logs.

We send out emails 30 days before expiration, one day before expiration, and on the day of expiration. There are also warnings posted in the dashboard of the account and blog also. I do see that those emails were sent.

You may want to whitelist WordPress.com in your email provider spam system. Once in a while they will get caught there if the provider tightens or changes their spam filters.

You may also want to add a credit card to your account so that auto renew will happen so that you don’t have to go through this again.

Any updates on this? I agreed to cover the all the costs involved and nobody got back to me on any of the support channels I went through.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

I see no reply from you in this thread confirming you agree to the redemption fee after @thesacredpath asked you above on 28 June.

But I see we replied to you a week ago via an email ticket, and sent you a link to pay for the domain, and you have not replied to that email yet.

We have no way of knowing that you want us to proceed if you don’t reply to us.

I’ve resent the payment link for recovering this domain. Please check your email for it.

Once we receive your payment, we can help you get the domain working again.
