My private blog post showed up on my facebook page

    I have a mental health blog, posted something very personal last night and it showed up on my FACEBOOK page today. It was private – not public. It says I hit “like” – i don’t even think I have a FB ‘like’ link enabled on my blog. This is a huge PRIVACY VIOLATION & I would appreciate it if someone could explain how this could happen. I am SO mortified I am ready to close my FB account.

    It’s possible that somehow Sharing was enabled. Go to your Dashboard->Settings->Sharing and see if any sharing has been enabled, either the FB Like or Publicize.

    Did the post actually show up on YOUR FB wall? Because it’s possible one of your readers posted it to FB or Liked it. In which case, you need to have a talk with your authorized readers.
