My private blog won't appear to a viewer I have invited

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.
I have created a blog which I would like to be private.
I have added an email address which also has a wordpress blog attached to it. However when they log in their details to reach my blog they can only see my header and header image. They cannot see or access my blogs.

The status of my blogs are published but private.

I’m just a beginner and have spent two hours trying to work out what on earth I’m doing wrong!
Can anyone help? Thank you :-)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So you’ve invited this user as just a ‘reader’ of the site? The ‘private’ visibility option for posts, means that only authors/admins/editors/contributors can see those posts. If you have a private blog, you don’t need to put the ‘private’ visibility on if you want your ‘readers’ to see them, just use it if you wanted a post just for yourself or the other authors/admins/editors/contributors of your site. Your posts are still ‘private’ in terms that they can only be viewed by authorised readers, since your entire blog can only be seen by authorised readers.

Sorry, a small correction, posts made ‘private’ are only visible to editors and admins of your site. Not editors or contributors.

Oh, brilliant! Thank you so much Daniel! I was thinking I had to select private for everything. That’s worked a charm.
Thank you for helping me so speedily :-)
