    There is an area at the bottom of my home opening page that looks like a search engine. It says, ‘ready to publish your first post?’ even though I already have done it. How do I remove this piece? I have not been successful with my attempts.

    Hi –

    Are you planning to use a static front page and separate blog page? Or do you want to have your posts appear on the front page of the blog? That’s the default setting.

    That message might be there yet because that post was published as a sticky one. Try adding some new posts to see if it disappears.
