  I have tried over and over to upload a profile picture and it will not happen. I do not know why. I have uploaded regular size images as well as small thumbnails, I have even used image url to attempt to try, for some reason it is not working, what do i do? Thanks

  A wordpress.com account is a gravatar account. They are one in the same.

  Note that gravatars/blavatars (favicons) do not show up instantly after uploading them. Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change.

  Dashboard → Settings → General

  Do not keep uploading!
  Do not forget to select an image rating and know that many of us refuse to display restricted images on our blogs.

  To enable Gravatar display and hovercard display on your blog go to > Settings > Discussion and scroll way done the page to “Avatars”.
