my profile pic is the gravitas logo
-
Hi,
I can’t seem to change my profile pic, what is being pulled through is the gravatar logo, not my profile picture. I have double checked the rating (it’s set to G) I have purge the SG cache on my website and that hasn’t helped either
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I’m not finding a Gravatar profile page for the username paulhandley1978. Have you confirmed your account email address? Was there a recent email address change?
-
Howdy –
I’m following up on the Modlook tag. Please outline the exact steps that you’ve taken to try and change the image.
The same image will display for both your Gravatar and WordPress.com accounts.

staff-zinnia,
The member’s Gravatar Profile page exists now, but previously I got an error message on each of multiple attempts to view it.

Hi, staff-zinnia
I’ve tried to upload a new profile picture and use that. I’ve also purged the SG cache on my site.I disabled Gravatar but still had the Gravatar logo as my profile picture!
which probably is why you couldn’t find my profile I have since re-enabled my profile to see if that would reboot it so to speak.Ive made sure the rating setting is set to G as well.
I’m quite stuck and all my blogs now have the Gravatar logo on them and I can’t delete the image on the page builder that I use (Elementor Pro)
Any help would be gratefully received :)
I’m not overly Technical and don’t know how to write any code.

The error message on April 26 was, as I recall, that the page https://en.gravatar.com/paulhandley1978 didn’t exist.
-
But the member may explain the reason for this, in saying:
I disabled Gravatar but still had the Gravatar logo as my profile picture!
which probably is why you couldn’t find my profile I have since re-enabled my profile to see if that would reboot it so to speak. -
Hi folks,
If you disabled the gravatar profile but uploaded a picture, and you were still seeing a G logo, it’s likely things were still cached *on our end* or possibly even on your ISPs end.
And, other users would not see a normal Gravatar profile page if the profile was disabled. It is possible to disable the Gravatar profile while still using a Gravatar image.
Since we heavily cache these images (we have to for performance reasons) it can be normal for image changes to take a while to take effect.
I currently see a profile picture with two people. Are you still seeing the logo on your end? If so, we can try flushing the cache on our side to see if that will help.

Hi Thank you for your message,
I am still seeing the gravatar logo, I would be grateful if you could flush the cache your end and hopeful this solves the problem

@paulhandley1978 do you see the Gravatar logo here on this forum page, or only on a specific site?
If you see the correct image here, but not elsewhere, could you link us to the page where you expect to see the image and do not?

Hi @supernova

Hi there,
Can you please temporarily disable the Elementor plugin and see if your Gravatar profile is displayed correctly?
