My published blog post cant be found/edited on my account.
-
I created a blog post a few days ago with the iOS iPhone app.
http://culturecritic9.wordpress.com/2013/03/14/rebecca-solnit-is-a-professional-straw-feminist/
I want to edit that page but it can’t be found through the WordPress app or even going directly to my account via a web browser.
In both cases all I can see is an older “draft”.
In addition when you go to culturecritic9.wordpress.com you can not find a link to that page but there are links to all of my other pages.
Have I done something wrong? Is this a bug in the iOS app?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same problem. The post appeared yesterday and today it has gone missing. The link to the post I sent in an email opens to a screen that say : Not found.
The post is also missing from my list of blogs.
My blog is onepersonsingular.wordpress.com

@culturecritic9
Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/If you’re not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.
If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it’s not in your Trash folder http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/ then you will not be able to recover it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add NewOr did you create your post on the front page of WordPress.com?

Create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog

@therapybar
Did you also use the iOS iPhone app?
What is the URL of the post you refer to? -
No, I did not.
The link I emailed my friends was: http://onepersonsingular.wordpress.com/2013/03/16/nature-versus-nurture/
Which is the format I always use. All my other posts are there except this one. -
-
Yes, but you’re telling him to hover over the title of the post, and it’s not there, it had disappeared.
This is what I get when I click on it through “comments” : Not Found
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
If you’d read my previous email to you, you’ll see that I can access the post through comments but other then that, it seem to not be part of my blog. I hope I made myself clear. I tried to go to the trash folder and it’s not there.
-
Thanks for the added clarity. I have re-read what you stated above and apologize for not reading more closely. There are only two ways you may be able to retrieve lost post. The first way is by locating an earlier post revision which you can’t do. The second way is restoring from Trash, if it is in the Trash.

1. I tried clicking on screen options but nothing happens. I am using an iPhone to connect to the web site because that is my only option.
2. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure that the draft which is available is not as recent as the post that I have published.
3. I can not see a link to that page which is published via the front page of my blog culturecritic9. WordPress.com but I can see all of my other posts on the front page.
4. You can find the page via a google search for Rebecca solnit straw feminist and go to the page but for some reason and I am just finding out as I am typing this today the page is now not available when you click the google link but it was available yesterday. “Rebecca Solnit Is a Professional Straw Feminist.” http://culturecritic9.wordpress.com/2013/03/14/rebecca-solnit-is-a-professional-straw-feminist/Oh boy. It looks like I am going to have to rewrite the page using the draft that I have.

This is sort of a separate question.
Lets say you have published something.
Then you realize you have some more work to do on it.
If you update that work but you change it to a draft will your work become unpublished now or will the published work stay the same until you in a sense “republish” it?
-
If you change it to a draft your subscribers will still have it but it won’t be visible on your blog.
-
In both cases, the posts are saved as Drafts, not published. You can edit them and publish them from the Posts section of your blog’s Dashboard.
Were you both using the WordPress iOS app? If so, which version of the app?
