My published post isn't showing up and my header has disappeared.

My header image is not displaying. It shows a broken image link. Also, my post today isn’t showing up on the front page, only under its category.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
My header image is not displaying. It shows a broken image link.
It looks like you were using the image logo4.png as your header image, but you deleted that image from your Media Library about four days ago. Since the image was deleted from your Media Library, it won’t be able to load on your site.
You can re-add the custom header by uploading the image again under Media > Add New and then setting the image as your custom header under Appearance > Customize > Header. Be sure to click the Save button to save your changes.
Also, my post today isn’t showing up on the front page, only under its category.
It looks like your latest post is titled Back to the “Blackboard”. Is that the right one? I see it at the top of the recent posts on your front page, just under the menu.
Please let me know if you aren’t seeing that post there, or if you have any other questions!

Hey,
The header image came back on its own. I hadn’t deleted that one; I’ve deleted many others. That one just vanished and reappeared all on its own. Seems to be OK now.
The one you’re seeing is from Columbus Day (I publish one every day). Yesterday’s was this: http://columbussegg.com/2013/09/24/lets-go-fly-a-generator/ (don’t let the posted date fool you: the date you see is the date that I first saved the draft; it didn’t actually post until yesterday. Today, I published this one: http://columbussegg.com/2013/09/27/living-out-of-a-suitcase/ and it isn’t showing up on the front page either. That there is a new post every day is really the whole point of this blog. Please help me fix this.

Hi there,
The posted date on your blog posts is the date that appears on the post, and it determines where the post appears in your list of recent blog posts. If you scroll down to the dates for those posts (September 24 and 27) you will see those posts in the list there.
If you’d like the posts to appear at the top of the list of recent posts, you can change the posted date for them. To do this, start by going to the post editor for each post. Then, in the Publish module, find the “Published on” line and click the Edit link next to it. There, you can change the date to the date you want for each post. Click OK to confirm the date and then click the Update button to save your changes.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Yes, that was it. Thank you. I’ve been “pre-collecting” posts since I started this blog and by the weirdest chance, I’ve apparently always published them in the same order I’d collected them because until now, whatever I published (publicly, that is) always popped up to the top.
Thanks again for your help.
