My quantum pottery.com domain has been hacked. Can I replace with another blog?

  I have the registered domain name quantum pottery.com – but this site has been hacked and I urgently need to create a useable blog for work purposes.
  Do I need to create a new domain just to maintain an online presence from while quantumpottery is offline?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If the domain quantumpottery.wordpress.com is important to you, do NOT attempt to delete the site or change the URL in any way. WordPress.com does not recycle domain names and the quantumpottery.wordpress.com URL will become permanently unavailable.

  Are you able to log into quantumpottery.wordpress.com?

  You can map quantumpottery.com to quantumpottery.wordpress.com – then visitors to quantumpottery.com will be seamlessly sent to quantumpottery.wordpress.com with quantumpottery.com showing in the browser window

  if you have email on quantumpottery.com – then something will need to be done with that

  Can’t log in to quantumpottery.com – says site is temporarily unavailable. Had been getting + deleting asap lots of referer spam (maybe only traffic is spam..) haven’t been able to send messages from @quantumpottery address for ages, so I changed primary email to gmail. No idea how to sort that out..

  As Auxclass alludes to, quantumpottery.com is not pointing people to quantumpottery.wordpress.com because you do not have Domain Mapping set up.

  You don’t need to log into quantumpottery.com to set it to your blog here – you need to go to the Registrar and change the name servers to here and buy domain mapping from WordPress.COM for your blog quantumpottery.wordpress.com to map quantumpottery.com to your blog here

  Once the name servers are changed (and the settings migrate across the internet) people will be directed away from your old host and to your blog here

  Set up domain mapping as per my post above and you should be all set.
