My register.com email doesn't work since I've mapped my register.com domain to w

    Website works great, but email is not working.

    Here are my DNS records:
    A macphersonbldrs.com handled by WordPress.com
    NS macphersonbldrs.com handled by WordPress.com
    CNAME *.macphersonbldrs.com handled by WordPress.com
    MX macphersonbldrs.com mail handled by mx07.register.com. with priority 10
    CNAME mail.macphersonbldrs.com alias of webmail04.register.com.

    The last ‘CNAME’ I just added about an hour ago (provided by register.com), so I’m not sure if that’s the solution?

    Hi there!

    Keep in mind that it can take up to 72 hours for the DNS records to fully propagate and your email to begin working. Because you only recently adjusted your records, it is possible that is what is causing the delay in functionality.

    To ensure that you did make your adjustments properly, take a look at this support document to confirm you followed these steps to configure your email:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-other-email/

    Thank you so much for your response! Yes, I followed those steps, although they aren’t specific to register.com (which, they wouldn’t be), so I was still left a little confused.

    Email is back up and running. It seems it was the last ‘CNAME’ I added that did the trick.

    New question. The emails that were lost in this transition…any way to retrieve those?

    It’s quite possible that they are retrievable, especially if they were never downloaded from your email provider’s server. Depending on the way your email is configured, Register.com’s support staff could be able to help out.
