My screen was taken over!!!!!!!!! I was trying to find 2 hours of writing I had done that didn’t get saved. When my screen was taken over. It brought up another webpage that was black. That spoke to me using my username. It told me to chase the white rabbit. Please, please call me. This kind of thing can’t be good for your site. [removed from public forum]
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no phone support.
State exactly which blog URL starting with http:// that you refer to. -
You may be able to recover a post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
If you’re not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.
If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it’s not in your Trash folder http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/ then you will not be able to recover it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add NewOr did you create your post on the front page of WordPress.com?
http://wordpress.com/#!/post/Advice:

Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add NewOr use an offline blog editor so you always have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

Thank you. Note that no wordpress.com URL ever contains the “www”. This is the correct URL http://sunflowerpumpkingirl.wordpress.com/
Please refer to what I posted above and go through those steps. You may be able to recover a post revision.

That screen thing does not sound like WordPress.COM at all – probably should check your PC & Browser for viruses and bad add on stuff

Actually, I think you just stumbled on to one of our easter eggs. What you’re describing appears when you compare a post revision to itself.
Nothing was taken over, it’s just a little joke animation that plays. You can safely hit the back button, go to another page, close the browser, etc.

My sense of humor is even drier than melba toast.
How do I disable that from happening on my blogs, please. -
I have put a few jokes on systems – this one I would tend to want to strangle someone over – working revisions is bad enough if someone does not do it all the time – usually revisions in my case is when I really really messed up and my sense of humor is stretched a bit thin to be told to chase something –

Just don’t compare a post revision to itself. ;)
It’s actually there in place of a rather nastier and even more confusing error (hard to believe, I know). The current Revisions system actually allows you to compare a revision to itself, because they’re really just mini posts, and that action leads to plenty of database errors flying across across your screen. So, the powers that be thought an easter egg would be funnier.
The good news is, revisions are getting a major overhaul. :)

When do we expect all hell to break lose? Will it be on a Friday?
-
-
Ha, no, not on a Friday (I hope not).
It’s part of WordPress 3.6, which hasn’t reached beta yet.
-
We share that hope. The next time major change is made on a Friday and Staff disappear into the ether, I’m taking a break until the following Wednesday. ;)
-
The good news is, there will be at least one of us in the forums at least one day out of the weekend from now on. :)
-
Support Staff rock but it’s rough on weekends here. Thanks for sharing that good news. It’s definitely worth celebrating and it’s after 5 so I’m off work. I’ll whiz down to the wine cellar and bring up a bottle of Merlot to toast to that.
