My sharing buttons aren’t showing up on my blog, or comment count
-
Gateway theme.
I’ve read several similar requests for help here and the instructions given were the same ones I had used. But I don’t see any buttons below posts.
I also would like the comment bubble to show the number of comments beside it. Most blogs I’ve seen have the comment bubble at the top of the post by the date, but mine is at the bottom of the post. I’d like to change that too if there is a how to link for that.
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can’t delete this, but I solved it. I rebooted my computer and then I could see the buttons.

Hey there,
I’m glad to see this was resolved.
It sounds like you were maybe seeing a cached version of the site. Caches can be cleared as per these steps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
I hope this is useful.

aleone89, could you look at my blog and see if you can see them today. I saw them yesterday, but can’t see them today. I’ll clear cookies and reboot again, but I couldn’t see them on my phone either.

Well I have done something wrong. At the bottom of every blog post is a barely visible gray bar with 3 symbols: the comment bubble, a chain link, and the edit icon. When I click on the chain link, the share buttons show up. But how do I make them show all the time? I see other blogs with the buttons completely visible.

To better understand the issue you’re facing, it would be really helpful if you could provide a couple of screenshots. Please capture what you’re currently seeing on your page, and if possible, include a link to the specific page as well. Additionally, it would be great if you could describe what you’re expecting to see.
If you’re not familiar with how to take a screenshot, no worries! You can refer to this support document that explains the process step-by-step:
https://wordpress.com/support/make-a-screenshot/
Once you have the screenshots ready, you can easily add them to your reply here by using the Image Block. This way, we’ll be able to take a closer look and offer more precise assistance.
Thank you so much for your cooperation!

This is what I see on other wordpress blogs, both on the blog page and on the url for the specific post. This is how I want mine to look (not the black page, just the buttons.)
This is the url for that blog: https://flickerofthoughts.com/

This is what I see on my blog page. See the arrow I drew at the bottom of the post. My mouse is hovering over the chain link, making it red. This is the the page I see when I click the word BLOG in my menu: https://martilouplunk.wordpress.com/blog/

And this is what I see when I click that chain link goes to the post url.

Hi there,
This is not an issue but rather a design approach. Let me explain this.
The theme you have selected for your site only displays the sharing buttons on full posts and not on the blog page where all the posts appear. The theme used on the other site is designed to show the sharing buttons both on the blog page and on individual posts.
I hope that helps clarify the situation. If you want a different layout of the various elements (sharing buttons, comments, etc.) you can simply select a different theme.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I wish it was different, but I don’t want a typical blog layout, so I guess I’ll live with it.
