Hello!
Can you confirm that you have added widgets into your side-bar? If you had switched themes recently it could account for that.
To add widgets go to Dashboard–>Appearance–>Widgets. Select the widgets you want and drag them over to the correct sidebar.

They show up on the Dashboard but they are not displaying anymore. I did not change themes.

Hi there,
Sidebars and widgets in them do not fall to the bottom and display below posts and/or posts do not appear in sidebars unless
(1) content has been imported into the blog
(2) the blogger has been copying and pasting content from elsewhere, without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text
(3) or the blogger has copied and pasted invalid HTML into a text widget or left an HTML tag open
After you go here and enable this > Settings > Writing
Formatting
_ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
“save changes”See here for sorting this out > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/sidebar-at-the-bottom-and-related-issues/

As an additional thought, it might be a browser related issue? Do the sidebars and widgets show up in your dashboard if you were to change browser to Safari or Chrome or Firefox?

@pcosta88
I’m using the 3 current updated browser versions here http://browsehappy.com and the sidebars is displaying below the posts due to HTML errors. If you want to read the source code and provide the specific fix required feel free to do that. You see, I am visually challenged and that is why I do not provide such service as it is just too much of a struggle for me. -
Thank you. I see my side bar on some categories but not on a few of them. So I will check the html error on those pages. @pcostal.
I’m using Chrome. -
ahhh ok. I had thought that the widgets and Main Sidebar are not showing up IN the dashboard rather than on the screen.
I understand. -
Also know that there are widget visibility settings so we can select which pages they display on. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility
-
They were not showing anywhere, but now they showed up on certain categories. But they do show up on the Dashboard as well. All of them. I went through each one with the visibility and chose on all categories but there are two areas it is not showing up.

Please act on what I posted here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-side-bar-disappeared?replies=10#post-2142660 -
Sudden disappearance of the entire sidebar has happened to me several times, on various WordPress themes over the past 6 years. In every case that I can recall it was caused by div tags, or a single stray div tag, in a post. I very seldom ever insert div tags myself, but sometimes they are inserted unintentially. It’s not all div tags that cause the problem. I think it happened when I removed div tags but failed to get all of them. A stray div tag.
By chance, I came across an article describing this issue a few days ago, but have been unable to locate it again in a brief search. I think I might have an email message from WP support on this issue. Will let you know if I find something.

@musicdoc1
This is not an unknown issue. It’s quite common. Aside from the post I already linked to at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-side-bar-disappeared?replies=10#post-2142660 one can see the support docs at http://en.support.wordpress.com/html-troubleshooting/#fixing-a-sunken-sidebar. Or one can do forum searches. The forerunners of the support docs are the solutions posted into these forum threads, and there are about 8 years of them now. I can say that with confidence because I predate the support docs lol :D.
