My sidebar has disappeared
-
I have gone through all the forums, all the the support pages. Looked at everything; tried everything. Can’t get it back. I am using Twenty Eleven. I do not see it at the bottom of my front page. I do not have any posts (just pages). I have gone to writing and clicked “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” – I have cut and re-pasted everything on my pages twice (using the word button, and the clear format button – nothing. Please help. Thank you.

You need to edit each page, select the Sidebar template from the pulldown in the Page Attributes module, click Update.

My photo and side bar dropped to the bottom of my page below the posts that are listed on the left. They are positions on the right where I want them but I need to position them to the top. Any ideas how to bring it up>

Have you done what ctehv did? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-sidebar-has-disappeared-2?replies=4#post-929843
Since you are copy-pasting so much, that’s critical. Once you’ve changed that XHTML setting, edit all of your posts: just set them to draft and then back to public, and that forces it to take effect. You may have to do this with your text widgets too.

@albertasequeira: Your sidebar has dropped because of corrupt code in the post “Follow Me”: you need to remove the Facebook image and re-do it.

By the way, your top menu is practically useless with so many pages, and it’s redundant. You should create a custom menu and include only the Home link and a couple of important pages. Details here:

THANK YOU! I deleted the logo to Twitter with the bird since you said it was a wrong code and everything came in place. I deleted so much trying to fix it. What is odd is that the logo has been on for over two weeks and nothing went wrong.
