My sidebars are missing from one post only. It’s my most recent post
Perfect Picture Book Friday-Clark the Shark
I didn’t change anything.
I did a test post and previewed it and it was fine. It’s just this one post. But I want my sidebars on every post.

Hi Penny,
I’ve fixed it for you. Your post had some extra HTML tags that were causing everything to get a bit jumbled—your sidebar was there, just below everything else.
How do you write your posts? Do you write it in another program, then copy and paste it into WordPress, or something like that? Something going on in the process is a common cause for this.
Thanks!

Thanks for fixing it! I really appreciate it.
I’ll be honest…I know just enough to be dangerous :-) I usually just write it right within WordPress and use the visual view, but I couldn’t get my breaks between paragraphs to hold so I Googled and went into text view and added in some
where I wanted more space. I don’t know HTML but just Google when I want to use some and experiment around. I’d love to know how to add space and keep it there. I prefer using visual view and keeping it simple. Any advice would be welcome. I can also go in Word and do a post, but when it transfers, the formatting doesn’t seem to hold. Also, is there a way to schedule from Word so that it doesn’t publish immediately.
Thanks!

Typically, WordPress will condense “extra” space—if you press enter multiple times to add four or five paragraph breaks in a row, we’ll condense that down.
The absolute most foolproof way of adding spaces in whatever amount you’d like is in the Text view to add this. Each one would be a paragraph-sized break: https://cloudup.com/covZUSKgO5A
Writing a blog post in Word is tricky. Word is great for writing/formatting pieces that are intended to be printed, but it’s not designed to format pieces designed for the web (though Microsoft has added those features to meet user requests).
Word doesn’t know what your site’s theme would do/can do, so it over-adds formatting information. We seen a fair number of folks needing help with posts because the formatting is all wonky from a conflict between what Word added and what the theme was expecting to use. If you were going to use Word, we suggest copy and pasting using the special “Paste from Word” tool (more details: Microsoft Word). It isn’t perfect, but better.
To directly answer your question, as far as I’m aware, there isn’t a way to schedule a blog post from within Word.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks! I will file this away and try it for my next post that gives me trouble. I appreciate your help.
