  I would like to make my wordpress site my website in place of sending/transferring the information to my domain: Crazy Domain. Is this possible? Also, I have an .org email address with Crazy Domain, is it possible to get a .org email address with WordPress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy!

  I’m not sure I completely understand your questions, but I’ll try my best to sort you out!

  It sounds like you already have an existing domain at Crazy Domains. You can map your WordPress.com site to your domain using your domain credit included with any paid WordPress.com plan. You can learn more about domain mapping here.

  It sounds like you also have your site’s email with Crazy Domains. You can still keep your email hosting as is, but you will have to add Crazy Domains MX records to your DNS settings for your domain on WordPress.com. You may need to contact Crazy Domains to get these.

  Can I ask you what your current domain is?

  Hello Chris,

  Thank you for the information. My Crazy Domain site is: thrmusicfoundation.org.au

  I have not utilised my Crazy Domain site, I have only built some content in a WordPress content system.

  Am I able to upgrade, to a WordPress plan, and use WordPress, as my web hosting, in place of mapping over to Crazy Domain?

  Hi Lois,

  Yep! WordPress.com would be your web host. WordPress.com doesn’t currently accept incoming domain transfers, but you can use your plan’s domain credit to map your current domain from Crazy Domains to WordPress.com.

  Wow, that is awesome! So, let me ensure I understand: I can use WordPress as my web host, once I upgrade to a plan.

  It’ll be the latter of the two, if you plan to use the domain you already own. You’ll keep your domain, thrmusicfoundation.org.au at Crazy Domains as you already are.

  Once you have a paid WordPress.com plan, you’ll get a domain credit to use. A domain credit can be used to either purchase a new domain, or to map an existing one, like thrmusicfoundation.org.au, which you already own. Think of mapping as like ‘connecting’ your current domain to your WordPress.com hosting.
