My Site

I paid for a yearly subscription and cancelled everything recently hoping to get a refund. Since I understand I’m not gonna get a refund and that WordPress robbed me blind, how can I get my site back up for the duration of the time I paid for?

    Hi, @weeklyrapgods,

I see that your site was more than like registered in February, due to your forum support history, so if that is the case, yes, you would be outside of the 30 day refund window.

For plans and all other purchases, you must cancel within 30 days of purchase to receive a refund.

I’m sorry you understood the refund to be something different. Did you see that listed anywhere (just want to make sure information is updated everywhere)?

I also am sorry as this isn’t what you are going to want to read but once a site is deleted, it is deleted forever. That is why there are multiple warnings throughout the process.

    From the support document:

… once you click Delete this Site your site will be permanently deleted.

Did you export your content first, before deleting?

At least then you would be able to upload the content to a new site name.

I’ll go ahead and tag a staff member with the modlook tag just in case there is something that I’m missing but I’m fairly certain it is a done deal. Good luck.

    Hi there,
If you have cancelled your WordPress.com plan in first 30 days then you’ll definitely get a refund to the bank from which you paid.
    Here’s the refund policy
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

If you have already cancelled then I would suggest wait for your a refund and if you wish to continue again by getting the plan you can do that.
If you don’t have upgraded plan then still your site will be up but you won’t able to use what’s called “custom domain” in the free plan.
You can check this plan link https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Hope this will help you and let me know if have further questions.

If you just cancelled your plan then your site will be up with a domain ending with ending extension .wordpress.com
Once you login to WordPress.com to navigate to your site just click on “My Sites” section on the right-hand side and then “Switch Site” and see if it shows up.

Thank you guys. I could’ve sworn I contacted support about a refund, before deleting anything. But they never responded. Typical business behavior. Regardless if I’m wrong or not, I will never use WordPress whether it’s free or not. And will make sure to deter anyone else who’s interested. Thanks for nothing WP. Hi Wix.com!
