  I am probably being thick, I am fairly new to WP and I have designed a blogging site for myself. The issue I am having is that when I look at my site on the net, I can edit it, presumably so can anyone else!! am I doing something wrong?

  You can edit it because you are logged-in in your WordPress.com account. Don’t worry no one else can edit your site.
