  • Hi there,

It takes anything from eight to twelve weeks for any new website to be indexed by search engines and start appearing in search results, and that further depends on how often you publish new content. It looks like you only set your site to public two weeks ago, and so far you’ve only published 5 pages and no posts at all, so I wouldn’t expect the site to appear in search results yet.

Start publishing new posts on your site on a regular basis, and search engines will start indexing it. Once they do, your site will start appearing in search results.

As for removing the old site from search results, only Google can do that. You can request that they remove the site, but to do that you’ll first need to verify to them that you own the site by adding it to Google Search Console, and you’ll also need to take the site offline by setting it to private or deleting it, else it will just be reindexed.

Is the old site also hosted with us on WordPress.com? If you don’t remember the login details for the account that owns that site, please follow our account recovery process at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ so we can help you regain access.
