question, how do i point my own domain name to my blog? i own getatthebookie.com also. i want to use all the features that wordpress has but i want to use my own domain name.

https://getatthebookie.wordpress.com/ is set as your primary domain. It may take a day or so for the change to be active everywhere.
If you are still seeing http://getatthebookie.mlblogs.com/ in your address bar this time tomorrow, let me know.

ok, so does this change when you pick to use a baseball themed template? and when you stop using it, your address goes back to normal?

Because you signed up through MLB, your site has two domains. I just set your WordPress domain to be your primary domain. Here’s the page where I made the change
https://getatthebookie.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains(that link only works for you when you are logged into your account so you don’t have to worry about others changing your settings.

You are able to use an MLB theme with your .wordpress.com address.

To use your domain name with your site, you’d need the Domain Mapping upgrade which is $13 per year.
