MY SITE AND READER BAR AT THE TOP OF THE SITE
-
why is the wordpress “my site” and “reader” black tab at the top of the blog? I don’t want that there and if someone clicks it it seems they could make changes to the site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Great question! This Tool Bar you see at the top of the site is there to offer quick actions for content creation and editing. The options you see here with your site are only visible when you are logged in to your WordPress account and viewing a WordPress.com site. Clicking on any of these content creation buttons will only affect your own site. As an example, if I view your blog while logged into my WordPress.com account, clicking the “Write” button will open a new blog post window for my own personal sites, and is completely unrelated to your blog.
You can test this yourself by using an incognito window (in Chrome) or Private Window (if using another browser such as FireFox). This will show you what it is like if a viewer tries browsing your site. As you can see, there isn’t a way to edit your blog without being logged in with your WordPress.com account.
